For the past year and a half, the learning resources team at Southern New Hampshire University (SNHU) has been using the CWiC Framework’s Product Taxonomy to benchmark EdTech products at the institution. They have adapted the Framework’s product taxonomy to focus on key desired attributes and evaluated prospective products based on their performance across those attributes. Through the development of a process for utilizing the CWiC Framework, decision-makers at the university are able to compare how products have been evaluated from one year to the next through a more objective approach.
